This specialized technology insures that services can be provided for
children in rural areas in designated sites in Florida by an examiner
physically on-site at the Jacksonville Children's Crisis Center location
through telemedicine. In many rural areas, expert forensic examinations
are not available for abused and neglected children. This technology allows
the "expert examiner" to be present at the exam, even though physically
located at the home site in Jacksonville. Training throughout the state
of Florida in forensic examinations and telemedicine is also provided
